El Velero de Aguilar

El Velero de Aguilar runs sailing trips on the Aguilar de Campoo reservoir aboard an 18-foot sailing boat, with Julio as skipper and guide. You sail using only the wind and currents, and the route depends on what you fancy: the remains of drowned villages, small coves for a swim, islands where hinds take refuge, water birds such as herons and grebes, and Romanesque churches along the shore. The basic trip lasts 2 hours and can be extended; there is room for up to 4 people. Boats leave from the La Virgen del Llano mooring. For children there is 'Stories of Olympus', a trip with Greek myths told to suit their age.
